EU Ambassador: Finding solution becomes more difficult over time

With every move that is starting to close doors, it will become more difficult to find the solution, Carl Hartzell, the EU Ambassador to Georgia, told journalists.

“Time is of the essence now,” Carl Hartzell said.

When asked about the withdrawal of party lists by five opposition parties, the EU Ambassador said: “I am a facilitator between the parties, I am not a judge.”

The Central Election Commission annulled the party lists of five election entities: Election Bloc United National Movement-United Opposition Power is in Unity, Bakradze, Ugulava, Bokeria – European Georgia, Election Bloc – Giorgi Vashadze-Strategy Aghmashenebeli, Shalva Natelashvili-Georgian Labor Party, Lelo-Mamuka Khazaradze.

The US and EU Ambassadors to Georgia are facilitating the negotiations between the ruling party and the opposition.
