EU Ambassador: It is my policy not to comment on what Georgian politicians say about me; I don't take it personally

“It is a great honor to represent the European Union in Georgia, and I am trying to do it as good as possible,” said EU Ambassador to Georgia Pawel Herczynski.

Pawel Herczynski was asked to remark on the statement by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, saying, “Herczynski is a tragic person. He was doing his best to damage Georgia-EU relations. The event being held with his leadership does not have much value.”

In response to the PM’s statement, the EU diplomat said that he does not take such statements personally.

“From the very first day of my arrival in Georgia, my policy has been not to comment on what Georgian politicians say about me. I do not take it personally. It is a great honor to represent the European Union in Georgia, and I am trying to do it as good as possible,” said Pawel Herczynski.
