Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, congratulates pupils, teachers, parents and the entire school community on the start of the new academic year.
“Dear pupils, parents and teachers, I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the start of the new academic year! This day is truly special, our little ones, the first-years, are crossing the school threshold for the first time, whilst pupils and teachers are returning to the learning process.
Our main objective is for every pupil to have equal opportunities, to receive quality education, develop and fully realise their potential. To this end, we continue implementing infrastructure projects so that every school across the country has a learning environment that meets modern standards.
We enter the new academic year with numerous renovated schools, and this is precisely the result of the significant steps the state is taking to improve educational infrastructure and create worthy conditions for learning and work.
I wish to express my sincere gratitude to every school teacher, headteacher and staff member, because you make an enormous contribution to educating and nurturing future generations, and this work is truly invaluable.
I always say that education is precisely the force that creates our country’s bright future. Once again, congratulations! I wish you an interesting, fruitful and successful new academic year!” notes Givi Mikanadze.
