“We had a prolific and constructive meeting with representatives of the private sector. We reviewed in detail the government’s findings directly related to food products,” said Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, following the meeting of the Cross-Government Coordination Commission on Consumer Prices.

According to Mariam Kvrivishvili, the meeting focused on factors that actually have an impact on high prices.

“It is especially welcoming that representatives of the private sector share the government’s viewpoint that price reduction should be ensured through joint efforts. This process will continue. We will hold important meetings with representatives from all business sectors that are involved in the process. I am convinced that through joint efforts and a constructive working format, we will achieve tangible results,” she stated.
