The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, undertook an official visit to the Republic of Serbia. During her stay, the minister will participate in the second session of the Georgia–Serbia Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which will be inaugurated by Minister Kvrivishvili and Serbia’s Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade, Jagoda Lazarević, who co-chair the event.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the session will be focused on discussions regarding bilateral trade and economic collaboration. At its conclusion, the ministers will sign a joint statement announcing the commencement of negotiations towards a free trade agreement between Georgia and Serbia.
As part of her programme, Mariam Kvrivishvili will visit the large-scale project in Belgrade undertaken by Eagle Hills – the Belgrade Waterfront.
She will also tour the Belgrade Exhibition Centre, where she will view a multimedia presentation of the upcoming international exhibition – Expo 2027. This marks the first time such a prestigious international event will be held in the Western Balkans, taking place from April 15 to August 15, 2027.
