Economy Minister meets Turkish Ambassador Mustafa to bolster trade and investment ties

Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, Mustafa Türker Ari.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to deepen bilateral trade and economic cooperation, strongly emphasising the strategic partnership’s role in driving economic growth and strengthening ties.

According to the Economy Ministry’s press office, both sides highlighted the upward trajectory of economic relations between Georgia and Turkey, noting that Turkey remains Georgia’s primary trading partner. Discussions also covered investment cooperation, specifically acknowledging the active presence of diversified Turkish companies across various sectors and their ongoing contribution to the Georgian economy.

The Economy Minister and the Turkish Ambassador focused on future cooperation prospects across multiple sectors, including commercial trade and tourism. According to data from the first two quarters of this year, Turkey ranks second in terms of international visitor arrivals to Georgia.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze also attended the meeting.
