Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, met with Zhang Ning, co-founder of major Chinese retail chain HotMaxx, during her working visit to the People’s Republic of China.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the meeting addressed strategies to broaden Chinese market access for Georgian exporters, boost brand recognition among local consumers, and build new commercial networks.

“It was noted that the comprehensive strategic partnership between Georgia and China forms a solid foundation for further deepening trade and economic relations. In this context, diversifying export products and foreign trade markets remains a core priority of Georgia’s economic policy, with a particular emphasis on China. It is therefore crucial to leverage commercial platforms and retail networks that connect Georgian goods with Chinese consumers and enhance their international profile,” the ministry’s statement read.
