Economy Minister: Agreements signed with Eagle Hills for two major investment projects worth USD 6 billion

“The most significant meetings during the historic visit of the President of the United Arab Emirates to Georgia focused on ways to further strengthen economic ties between our countries, including in trade, tourism, aviation, and attracting additional investment,” said Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, reflecting on the visit of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Kvrivishvili also highlighted the visit of Mohamed Alabbar, founder of EMAAR and Eagle Hills, alongside the Emirati President, describing him as a historic investor for Georgia.

Following an expanded meeting at the Georgian Government Administration, Mariam Kvrivishvili and Mohamed Alabbar exchanged agreements outlining the realisation of two large-scale investment projects in Georgia, valued at a total of USD 6 billion.

“The realisation of such a substantial volume of foreign direct investment, truly historic for our country, demonstrates that Georgia is a reliable partner and that we have an excellent investment climate. During the visit, we discussed with Emirati representatives how to increase investments in Georgia and boost tourist flows, fostering closer cooperation between our countries so that our economy can grow steadily and sustainably year after year,” Kvrivishvili stated.
