The meeting of the Economic Council, held at the government administration, focused on various topics including reforms in the insurance sector and pension insurance, investments in energy projects, and plans for privatization, according to a report from the government administration.
Key investments in energy projects were a central focus of the session.
“Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze highlighted the significance of fully utilizing the country’s potential in energy projects. Positive decisions were made by the Council regarding energy projects with a total capacity of up to 500 megawatts.
The Economic Council also discussed the details of passenger and cargo transportation reform and the approval of relevant normative acts, as specified by legislation. These will be submitted to the government shortly,” stated the government administration.
