Discussed Georgia’s political crisis and its European future, Giorgi Gakharia said after meeting French Minister

The leader of the Gakharia For Georgia party, Giorgi Gakharia, met with the French Minister for European Affairs, Benjamin Haddad, during the Munich Security Conference.

Gakharia stated that the discussion focused on Georgia’s ongoing political crisis and its European future.

“The meeting with French Minister for European Affairs Benjamin Haddad addressed the political crisis in Georgia and the country’s European aspirations. President Macron’s leadership has been crucial in mobilizing the EU’s efforts toward Georgia. I deeply appreciate his commitment to Georgia’s democratic path and his firm stance against democratic backsliding and authoritarianism. His role in resolving the current crisis is significant.

Urgent action is needed to release political prisoners, ensure new elections under democratic conditions, and safeguard regional security from Russian influence,” Gakharia said.
