Director-General of TV Pirveli Inga Grigolia, General Director of Kavkasia TV Company Nino Jangirashvili and Head of Regional Broadcasters Association Natia Kuprashvili are meeting with Finance Minister of Georgia Ivane Machavariani.

Financial liabilities are the main topic for discussions. According to Jangirashvili, television companies should be put in equal conditions and the minister has to come up with the equality formula.

Grigolia left the meeting in protest when the minister asked to name those, who were responsible for accumulated financial liabilities.

The Finance Ministry will apply to incasso measures into the case of three TV Companies – Rustavi 2, TV Pirveli and Kavkasia. The decision was made on December 25 due to the current liabilities accumulated for the last 2 months.

The Finance Ministry said it warned the media outlets on December 23 and gave 1-day term to pay the main part of the financial liabilities.

This does not refer to liabilities accumulated for years for which TV companies had to present restructuring schemes of payment.

The Ministry explained that the Revenue Service is forced to apply to necessary measures as per Tax Code of Georgia.
