Deputy Justice Minister: Strasbourg Court proceedings on Transparency Law are concluded; no violation has been established

Proceedings at the Strasbourg Court regarding the Transparency Law have concluded, First Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili has stated.

According to Dzamashvili, no violation has been established regarding the laws at this stage.

“As Mzia Amaghlobeli states, she has filed several cases. Only one had reached us, and the proceedings on that part are concluded. Consequently, the European Court itself will decide when to announce its judgment regarding both of them. It is not locked into any specific timeframe.

I can confirm that, at present, no statutory violation has been found in any case; these are merely ongoing matters. We believe that, just as with many other high-profile cases, where certain segments of society perceived the laws or decisions as politically motivated or problematic, be that Rustavi 2 TV or former high-ranking officials, the Georgian government won in every single one. We anticipate a similar outcome in all future cases, leading to a victory for Georgia,” stated Beka Dzamashvili.
