Deputy Interior Minister Gaga Kirkitadze holds bilateral talks during working visit to China

Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Gaga Kirkitadze, who leads an official delegation, has concluded a working visit to the People’s Republic of China.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kirkitadze attended the annual Global Public Safety Cooperation Forum (GPSCFL) in Lianyungang.

“On the sidelines of the international event, Gaga Kirkitadze held a bilateral meeting with Nurbek Abdiev, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. The pair reviewed key areas of effective police cooperation between their nations and explored prospects for future partnership. The Georgian Deputy Minister emphasized the significance of the Georgia official visit by the Kyrgyz Minister of Internal Affairs, Ulan Niyazbekov, in August, noting that high-level dialogue of this nature substantially advances bilateral ties and institutional alignment. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to sharing operational expertise and international best practices.

During his visit to China, Kirkitadze also met with Anatoly Vasilyev, Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus. The discussion focused on bilateral law enforcement cooperation and joint mechanisms for combating transnational crime,” the official statement read.
