“The establishment of the Strategic Partnership in 2023 marked an important milestone in our bilateral relations. A new chapter of strong partnership has been opened that created a variety of ways for result-oriented cooperation between our countries, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, in his opening remarks during the reception on the Occasion of the 34th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Ties between Georgia and China.

According to the Deputy Foreign Minister, Georgia reaffirms its strong commitment and full readiness to further advance cooperation across various areas.

“Georgia and China have long enjoyed close and cordial relations founded on equality, mutual respect, and common interests. Over the years, our bilateral cooperation has grown both in scope and substance, gradually elevating our relationship to a higher level and reflecting the increasing depth of our partnership. In this instance, the establishment of the Strategic Partnership in 2023 marked an important milestone in our bilateral relations. A new chapter of strong partnership has been opened, that created a variety of ways for result-oriented cooperation between our countries.

Today, as we commemorate the 34th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Georgia and China, in the format of congratulatory letters between the President of Georgia, H.E. Mr Mikheil Kavelashvili and the President of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Mr. XI Jinping, a joint announcement was made to elevate the strategic partnership between the two countries to the higher level of comprehensive strategic partnership.

The elevation of Georgia-Chinese relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership reflects the depth of our mutual interests and our shared commitment to advancing peace, prosperity, and sustainable development for our peoples.

Georgia reaffirms its strong commitment and full readiness to further advance cooperation across various areas, we are confident that our joint initiatives and projects will continue to deliver meaningful results.
