Deputy FM: Ready to deepen and strengthen our strategic partnership with US
“Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Georgia serves as a vital bridge connecting markets, people, and ideas. At a time when many traditional routes face increasing uncertainty, the Middle Corridor has emerged as a critical pathway for global trade, energy security, and connectivity,” First Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgi Zurabashvili said at an event organized by the Georgian Embassy in the United States to mark Independence Day.
Zurabashvili highlighted that energy pipelines, railways, highways, ports, and Black Sea connections make Georgia an essential link between East and West.
“Along with international consortiums, crude oil and gas pipelines supply the West with the energy resources it needs. Our infrastructure contributes not only to economic development, but also to energy diversification, transportation, regional stability, and broader international security. In addition, Georgia possesses another invaluable asset: its proven reliability. I would like to deliver a very important message to you, and I believe this message deserves to be delivered in person, among friends and partners who share a common purpose. Georgia was, Georgia is, and Georgia will remain a reliable friend and partner of the American people. The Georgian Government stands in support of the White House and of the United States of America. We stand ready to deepen and strengthen our strategic partnership with the United States,” Zurabashvili declared.
