Deputy Economy Minister: Silk Road Forum to contribute to more involvement in Middle Corridor initiative

“The main idea of the Silk Road forum is to increase connectivity and Georgia’s role as a hub. Respectively, the forum, to be held in Georgia for the fourth time, will contribute to the countries’ involvement in the Middle Corridor initiative,” said Gennady Arveladze, Deputy Georgian Minister of the Economy.

The forum will host over 2000 guests from 60 world countries in Tbilisi on October 26-27.

According to Gennady Arveladze, the forum also helps to increase Georgia’s awareness and its role as the primary connecting country.

High-ranking officials and representatives of international financial institutions and businesses will participate in the two-day gathering.

The event will also host thematic sessions on trade, transport, energy, tourism, digital and financial technologies, investment opportunities and bilateral meetings.
