Deputy Economy Minister: Georgian entrepreneurs can maximise export potential at China's Import Exhibition
“At China’s 2025 Import Exhibition, where Georgia will traditionally be represented, the Chinese side has this year granted us the status of special guest, which means that Georgian enterprise, the investment environment, tourism, and every direction that our country represents will be showcased even more prominently,” Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Irakli Nadareishvili, stated in Shanghai, where preparations for the China International Import Exhibition are underway.
As the Deputy Minister noted, Georgian companies will showcase their cultural, culinary, folkloric, and various other offerings at the exhibition as part of the special status.
“Georgia will be represented with three pavilions: a national pavilion, an enterprise pavilion, and a food and beverage pavilion. The significance of the exhibition is crucial for Georgian entrepreneurs, as local entrepreneurs are allowed to maximise the use of their export potential at the exhibition,” Irakli Nadareishvili stated.
This large-scale exhibition is being held for the seventh time. This year, over 40 Georgian local entrepreneurs will participate.
In China, where Georgia’s delegation travelled under the Prime Minister’s leadership, several high-level meetings are planned, including with the Premier of the People’s Republic of China. Bilateral agreements will also be signed to further strengthen both trade and economic relations, as well as people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Within the framework of the visit, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, will sign several memoranda of understanding, including with the Civil Aviation Administration of China, China’s Ministry of Commerce, and the National Development and Reform Commission of China.
The delegation accompanying Georgia’s Prime Minister includes Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili, Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, President of the National Bank Natia Turnava, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
