Deputy Economy Minister: Georgia ranks among global leaders in responding effectively to changes as per CGGI

“The significantly positive trends in economic growth and the macroeconomic environment demonstrate the country’s timely and effective response to challenges,” Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vakhtang Tsintadze has stated.

Tsintadze emphasised the importance of Georgia’s placement within Europe’s top three according to the rating.

“Looking at European countries, Georgia ranks in Europe’s top three, surpassed only by Luxembourg in this component. It should be noted that Georgia consistently implements timely political decisions and actions in response to global changes and challenges,” the Deputy Minister stated.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the Chandler Institute of Governance published the assessment of effective response to change within the framework of its 2025 report of the Chandler Good Government Index (CGGI).

“The rating is derived from the World Economic Forum’s global survey, which asks, ‘How effectively does the government respond to change?’ In this international assessment, Georgia’s government received high praise, climbing six places to rank 11th in the world and securing second position among Europe’s top three. The continent’s leading trio consists of Luxembourg, Georgia, and Switzerland. Remarkably, according to the rating, Georgia surpasses five G7 countries and 32 EU, Schengen Zone, and NATO member states, the Ministry of Economy’s statement reads.

Deputy Economy Minister notes that positive trends in economic growth and the macroeconomic environment demonstrate the Georgian government’s timely and effective response to global changes and challenges.

“Clear confirmation of this can be seen in Georgia’s economic results; globally, it is one of the leading countries in terms of economic growth, and is expected to maintain this advanced position in the coming years as well,” Tsintadze stated.
