Defense Minister attends Territorial Defense Brigades anniversary event

Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani congratulated the personnel of the 10th and 20th Territorial Defense Brigades of the National Guard on the anniversary of their establishment.

The ceremony was held at the military base of the 20th Territorial Defense Brigade in Telavi and featured a solemn oath-taking ceremony, where new recruits formally joined the unit.

In his address, Chikovani emphasized the importance of the Territorial Defense Brigades as a key element of Georgia’s new reserve system, highlighting their role in safeguarding national security. He congratulated the reservists on taking their oath and expressed gratitude for their service.
