Defence Minister: On Defence Forces Day, I congratulate our future: cadets, recruits, and conscripts who strengthen Georgian army
“April 30th marks the Day of the Defence Forces of Georgia. Today’s solemn atmosphere is especially meaningful for the 800 recruits who took the military oath before their country and nation,” declared Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Irakli Chikovani during his speech at the ceremony dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Defence Forces, held in Vaziani on the grounds of the 4th Infantry Brigade.
In his address, he emphasised the importance of the future of Georgia’s Defence Forces family, with a particular focus on congratulating the cadets, recruits, and conscripts on their special day.
“On this anniversary of the Defence Forces, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the bright hope of our future, the young cadets, recruits, and conscripts, everyone who is actively strengthening Georgia’s Defence Forces,” he said.
Irakli Chikovani also expressed his sincere gratitude to the families of the servicemen, recognising their vital support.
“It is the family that stands as a strong and dependable pillar, bolstering our soldiers in this demanding and honourable profession. A resilient and caring family is the greatest source of faith, strength, and resilience for a soldier,” the Minister of Defence affirmed.
