The situation over the Davit Gareji Monastery complex is settled, Azerbaijani authorities decided to open the points that were closed,” – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani stated.

“As soon as we were informed, we communicated with our Azeri colleagues. I had a conversation with my counterpart. The situation is settled, the Azerbaijani authorities decided to open the points that were closed. We will work in the future to resolve the problem that is related to delimitation of Georgia-Azerbaijan border, more intensively,” said FM Zalkaliani.

The Minister explained that the process was delayed due to the changes in the commissions. Zalkaliani hopes that the process will start in the near future and the issue will be solved through negotiations between the two sides.
