Davit Kaikatsishvili appointed as Head of IDPs, Eco-Migrants and Livelihood Agency
Davit Kaikatsishvili has been appointed to lead the LEPL Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), Eco-Migrants, and Livelihood Agency, the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Protection of Georgia has announced.
The new director was officially introduced to the agency’s staff by the Minister of Health, Giorgi Tsagareishvili.
Tsagareishvili extended his best wishes to Kaikatsishvili, emphasising his extensive experience in issues related to internally displaced persons. He expressed confidence that, through collaborative efforts, substantial progress would be made in this important area.
According to the ministry, Kaikatsishvili has held various managerial roles within the public sector since 2012. Before his appointment, he served as head of the Department of Social Protection, IDPs and Labour Policy at the Ministry of Health, and previously led the Department of IDPs and Eco-Migrants Policy. Under his leadership, some key projects supporting internally displaced persons have been successfully implemented.
