David Zalkaliani held phone conversations with Bulgarian, Moldovan and Turkish counterparts

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, David Zalkaliani, held phone conversations with his Bulgarian, Moldovan and Turkish counterparts on Tuesday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia informed.

The prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in all fields were discussed during the phone conversation with Ekaterina Zaharieva, the Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Zalkaliani focused on challenges in Georgia’s occupied territories and thanked his Bulgarian counterpart for strong support to Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations. The sides emphasized the importance of joint efforts in the fight against COVID-19.

Davit Zalkaliani wished success to the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, Aurelio Ciocoi. Talks focused on the development of cooperation between two countries and the joint expectations for EU integration as well as regional security and conflict resolution issues.

As Foreign Ministry informs, Zalkaliani held a phone conversation with Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu. The sides discussed security issues in the Black Sea and the region in general, as well as the importance of deepening economic cooperation. Zalkaliani expressed his gratitude to the Turkish partners for unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as for the assistance in combating COVID-19.
