Georgian Culture Minister Tea Tsulukiani stated that “questions about the August War need to be answered.”
Tsulukiani anticipates “an evidence-based legal process that will answer the question on why the then government could not prevent great threats.”
“When we were in opposition, we asked why [ex-President] Mikheil Saakashvili couldn’t avoid the great dangers that we all fell victim to, and the statehood of Georgia became a victim of this?
In August 2008, the state of Georgia faced a clear threat to its very survival. I hope this question will be resolved,” stated Tsulukiani.
