Georgian General Prosecutor’s Office arrested Domenti (Dito) Chubinidze, a representative of the newspaper Asaval-Dasavali, on charges of treason, namely, sabotage, pursuant to a court order on October 22.
The investigation determined that since February 2026, Domenti Chubinidze, through various media outlets and social platforms, systematically disseminated false information and disinformation based on fabricated facts, saying that the Prime Minister of Georgia, through a secret agreement concluded with a neighboring state, has handed over a part of the David Gareji monastery complex to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
