Coronavirus observed in Kyiv is not of Chinese origin

The coronavirus observed in Kyiv is not the type of virus which is spread in China. Kyiv city lab center of Ukraine’s Healthcare Ministry reports in that regard.

However, the agency does not specify what type of coronavirus is observed in the Ukrainian capital.

“Under the results of PCR method-based researches of 67 samples, we received 12 positive results: A/H1N1 influenza – 3 cases, A influenza (atypical) – 1, B influenza – 3, adenovirus – 2, bocavirus – 1, coronavirus – 1 and rhinovirus – 1”, – the lab center reported on its Facebook page.

After receiving feedback from citizens, the agency clarified that the reported case is not of Chinese origin.

The coronavirus has killed 80 people in China, the head of the World Health Organisation said at the special meeting with officials in Beijing on Monday.
