Construction of modern standard residential complex underway in Rustavi for 800 IDP families

Construction of a modern standard residential complex is underway in Rustavi town, envisaged to accommodate 800 IDP families, the Ministry of IDPs, Labour, Health and Social Affairs reported.

The residential block or apartments will have its stadium, a playground for kids and sports training space. The construction is financed from the state budget, and its value is 80,971,596 GEL.

According to the Ministry, the IDP Agency has already launched the process of evaluating applications submitted by IDP families wishing to receive housing in the aforementioned residential complex in Rustavi.

Deputy Health Minister Giorgi Tsagareishvili and IDP Agency Director Davit Kaikatsishvili visited the construction site.

An additional 800 IDP families will receive apartments in Rustavi next year.

The Ministry noted that this year, fully renovated apartments were handed over to a total of 1,614 IDP families, including 762 families recently residing in Tbilisi.

Besides Rustavi, residential complexes are being constructed in three cities – Tbilisi, Zugdidi and Borjomi.
