Construction of modern residential complex for IDPs in Tbilisi enters final phase

The construction of a modern residential complex for internally displaced families in Tbilisi has entered its final phase, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Health.

According to the ministry, this unprecedentedly large-scale housing complex comprises 11 residential blocks. Fully renovated apartments across four of the blocks were handed over to displaced families last year, whilst resettlement into the remaining seven blocks is scheduled for the near future.

“At this stage, to create a complete and fulfilling residential environment for displaced families, landscaping and site-improvement works are currently underway. This includes the creation of green spaces, sports grounds, children’s play areas, and outdoor fitness zones,” the Health Ministry stated.

Giorgi Tsagareishvili, Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs, alongside Davit Kaikatsishvili, Director of the IDP Agency, inspected the ongoing works on site.
