Communications Commission - Number of registered Internet subscribers has doubled in last 6 years

The number of registered Internet subscribers has doubled in the last six years, accounting for 82% of households – National Communications Commission reports.

According to the Communications Commission, the dynamics of the number of subscribers in the fixed internet market is still growing. Only 42% of subscribers had access to the internet in 2013.

The Commission reports that Georgia is among the leading European countries with respect to the share of Internet penetration and is ahead of the United States with the same parameters.
