“We are grateful that our friends worry about us, but at this stage I do not see any prerequisites for ending the hunger strike,” said Gedevan Popkhadze, a member of the Coalition for Change.

Gedevan Popkhadze called on supporters and those who were concerned about their health state, to provide hunger strikers with warm clothes and items.

“We are grateful that our friends worry about us. Many expressed support for us. But this protest form is not our choice; it is the protest form chosen by Ivanishvili, who led the country to isolation and overcrowded Georgian prisons with political prisoners and prisoners of conscience. Therefore, we believe that this protest should continue, Rustaveli Avenue should be strengthened, and there should be a 24-hour protest. I call on everyone who cares about us to provide us with warm items, mattresses, blankets and everything else we need to get through the December frosts. At this stage, I do not see any prerequisites for ending the hunger strike,” he said.

On November 28, during the rally on the 1-year unniversary of Rustaveli Avenue protests, Freedom Square party leader Levan Tsutskiridze urged Coalition for Change member Gedevan Popkhadze and other hunger strikers to end their extreme form of protest.
