City Court sentences six individuals charged with organizing group violence to imprisonment

Tbilisi City Court sentenced actor Andro Chichinadze and 5 other individuals charged with organizing group violence at Rustaveli Avenue protests to imprisonment, Judge Tamar Mchedlidze announced the verdict.

Actor Andro Chichinadze said in the court: “I don’t have much to say. When the truth is on your side, then you have power and energy. This power and energy are here today,” he said.

The charged individuals face from 4 to 6 years. The pre-trial sitting is scheduled for January 19.
