Changes are proposed to procedure for President’s annual report in Parliament
The process for presenting the President’s annual address to Parliament is set to undergo significant changes under upcoming amendments to the Rules of Procedure. The new draft stipulates that the proceedings will conclude immediately following the President’s address during the plenary session.
Under the current regulations, once the President has delivered their speech, the floor is given to faction leaders and the leader of the parliamentary majority to make their remarks.
Furthermore, under the amendments, following the conclusion of the President of Georgia’s annual address, it will be possible to resume the parliamentary plenary session and discuss other matters.
