Chairman of Parliament – Working on OSCE recommendations launched

Working on OSCE recommendations is already launched – Archil Talakvadze, Chairman of Parliament thus answered the question of Georgian First Channel regarding the change in the rule for financing of political parties.

According to Talakvadze, a working group is created with the involvement of representatives of the opposition, civil sector, Diplomatic Corps and the parliamentary majority.

“The issues have to do with election legislation, electoral system, financing of parties, allocation of advertising airtime, staffing of election commissions and conduct of the election campaigning. The changes will be made in line with practice in European democratic countries where elections are held based on the proportional rule,” Talakvadze said.
