Carl Hartzell - There is a possibility of agreement between gov't and opposition
Carl Hartzell, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia says there is a possibility of agreement between the government and the opposition. The Ambassador claims the parties are ready to take certain steps and reach a compromise.
“There are different scenarios of how things will develop. Nothing is guaranteed, but if the deal is made, it will be a very useful for the country.
This success will be the sigh for the international community that despite the difficulties changes are underway in Georgia,” Carl Hartzell stated.
In a response to the question on the EU’s move if the deal will not succeed, Hartzell said “it’s too early to talk about it.”
“In the first place, we have to see the outcome of this process. Life goes on. It is an election year, so we are watching the developments in detail,” Carl Hartzell concluded.
