Candidate for SSG Head Okhanashvili thanks government for trust in leading State Security Service
“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister of Georgia and the government team for the immense trust placed in me. I fully understand the significant responsibilities that come with leading the State Security Service,” stated Anri Okhanashvili, the candidate for Head of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG), during a session of the Parliamentary Committee on Defence and Security.
Okhanashvili also expressed appreciation for former Head Grigol Liluashvili and the dedicated staff of the agency.
“This is not only a distinguished honour but also a profound responsibility. I recognize the weight of safeguarding our nation’s interests from this position. I want to thank Grigol Liluashvili for ensuring the effective and smooth operation of the State Security Service during a challenging period. I am also grateful to all the employees of the Service, whose tireless efforts have helped mitigate threats to our state,” added Anri Okhanashvili.
