Bärbel Bas, the President of the German Bundestag and her Georgian colleague Shalva Papuashvili conducted a joint press point, stressing Germany’s support for Georgia’s European path.
“Germany and Georgia have partnership relations in many areas and the parliaments cooperate closely,” she noted.
“Russia’s war in Ukraine had a special impact on Georgia, and this is one of the reasons why I came here. Georgia knows what Russian aggression means.
I’ll be leaving for the administrative line tomorrow,” Bärbel Bas told the media.
Bärbel Bas encouraged Georgia to continue and implement the reforms, necessary for EU candidate status.
