Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Bärbel Bas, President of the German Bundestag, the Government Administration reported.

The meeting’s key topics included the positive dynamic in the development of bilateral Georgia-Germany relations and successful cooperation across a variety of areas, including between the two countries’ legislative bodies.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze underlined Germany’s strong support for the priorities of Georgia’s foreign policy: the country’s accession to European and Euro-Atlantic structures, and expressed the hope that Germany will continue standing by Georgia on this path in the future.

The active and productive cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, and the importance of further deepening inter-parliamentary ties, were emphasized.

The Head of Government thanked the President of the German Bundestag for strongly supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
