British Embassy in Georgia: UK condemns baseless and aggressive personal attacks on German Ambassador

“The UK condemns the baseless and aggressive personal attacks on the German Ambassador in Georgia,” the British Embassy in Tbilisi posted on its social network.

The statement reads that Great Britain joins Germany and urges the Georgian authorities to stop spreading false narratives about Western support for Georgia and its people.

“The UK condemns the baseless and aggressive personal attacks on the German Ambassador in Georgia. This is the latest in a series of hostile disinformation targeted at Germany and other European countries, who have been Georgia’s closest partners for decades. We join Germany in asking the Georgian authorities to stop spreading false narratives about Western support for Georgia and its people,” reads the statement by the British Embassy in Tbilisi.
