Border Police Units of Georgia, Turkiye conduct joint training at Vale territory
Border Police units from Georgia and Turkiye conducted joint training at the Vale territory of the state border sector.
According to the Border Police, the joint training aimed to share experience in land border protection between the border units of the two countries and to improve coordinated actions on issues related to border security.
Deputy Chief of the Border Police, Colonel Giorgi Gureshidze, addressed the training participants.
“Similar training intensifies joint fight against organized crime, illegal migration, narcotic drugs trafficking, proliferation of weapons and chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear materials, terrorism and other crimes at the state border,” he said.
The joint training was held within the framework of the Turkiye-Georgia Bilateral Cooperation Plan for 2025. Training between the two countries is conducted regularly, once every two years.
