The bill on legislative amendments prepared within the 4th wave of the judicial reform will be presumably initiated at the sitting of parliamentary bureau today.

According to the draft, the rule of staffing the High Council of Justice is changed. The draft law states that, in order to fully represent the courts of all instances in the Council, at least one member of the Board out of eight members elected by the Conference of Judges, should be representative of the court of each instance.

In addition, the project determines that at least one-fifth of the board members have the right to name a candidate for the chair of the High Council of Justice. The member of the High Council of Justice will be able to vote only for one candidate. If the chairman of the High Council of Justice is not elected, the new election procedure will be held no later than five working days after the vote.

According to the amendments, the High Council of Justice will be obliged to publish the justification for the appointment of a judge in the District (City) and Appeal Court.

According to the legislative package, the rule of formation of Independent Council of the High School of Justice is fundamentally changed.
