Berdia Sichinava says Teona Akubardia or Dimitri Tskitishvili were short-term projects for Gakharia’s party

“Any radical scenario, talk of peaceful overthrow is absolutely unacceptable for our political party. We will not be part of this process for even a minute where there is room for radicalisation and confrontation. This could have very grave consequences for the country,” Berdia Sichinava, one of the leaders of the Gakharia for Georgia party, told PalitraNews.

As Sichinava noted, announcing a date for an uprising is irresponsible towards one’s own citizens.

“After October 26, people are very disappointed. We must emerge from this; we must defeat nihilism. When we name a specific date, October 4, for the uprising to take place, I don’t want people to be disappointed.

That’s why I think such statements are irresponsible towards our own citizens, which could lead to enormous disappointment that will then be very difficult to manage. Then let these political parties not shift the blame, claiming it wasn’t the United National Movement, it was Rustaveli Avenue movement, it was Paata Burchuladze, and finally they’ll blame the people who supposedly didn’t turn out in sufficient numbers,” declared Berdia Sichinava.

According to him, part of the opposition has “descended into utter foolishness”, and they must take responsibility for what happens on October 4.

“Any radical agenda today will be sold in the West as an opposition defeat; the West won’t consider any radical scenario here. This is propaganda that the Georgian Dream serves up to its own citizens like a blanket. In the UNM and other parties, where they talk about this radicalisation, confrontation and peaceful overthrow, they are living in the absurd. Call these people on October 5, even before October 5, and ask them whether they will take responsibility for what happens in this country on October 4. These are really people ordered from Temu, who come with a dirty past.

They say Gakharia is leading you astray; no, he is not leading you astray. Giorgi Gakharia is giving you advice because you have descended into utter foolishness, and for 13 years, you have been doing the same madness, keeping people in the same cycle. These people must emerge from the wilderness and set foot on the right path,” declared Berdia Sichinava.

Commenting on those politicians who have quit the Gakharia for Georgia party, Berdia Sichinava states that “they were short-term projects.”

“Respect to each of them, but as these people position themselves, they were short-term projects for this party. A short-term project has a beginning and an end. Thanks to them for their work, but this party doesn’t stand on either Teona Akubardia or Dimitri Tskitishvili,” declared Sichinava.
