Armenian PM thanks Kobakhidze for personal support of peace process, hailing Georgia's role in building Armenia-Azerbaijan economic ties

“I wish to thank the Prime Minister of Georgia for his personal support of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. I wish to thank you for the support that we feel and witness,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a joint press briefing with his Georgian counterpart, Irakli Kobakhidze.

Prime Minister Pashinyan affirmed that Armenia is grateful for Georgia’s support.

“It is my honour to take part in yet another meeting. This is the 15th session of the Armenia-Georgia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. The fact that this is the fifteenth meeting underscores the ongoing and steadily growing nature of our relationship. An important focus of our agenda remains the pursuit of even greater economic achievements.

Today we discussed the bilateral economic agenda, as well as regional and international matters. We spoke about where our greatest potential for developing cooperation lies. Once again, I extend my sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr Irakli Kobakhidze, for his unwavering support of the peace process throughout this entire period, and for his personal commitment to fostering peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Thank you for the support that we feel and see.

Today, Armenia and Azerbaijan are building economic relations and ties with Georgia’s assistance and facilitation, and that is truly something to be proud of. I am sincerely grateful for this invaluable contribution,” Pashinyan said.
