Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has extended his congratulations to Georgia and Armenia on being chosen as co-hosts of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2029.

“I would like to congratulate both Georgia and ourselves,” said Pashinyan.

He also expressed his gratitude to his Georgian counterparts, particularly Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, for their effective and close cooperation on this matter.

According to the Armenian Prime Minister, this is a momentous occasion for both countries, not only in terms of football but across all spheres.

“Now, as they say, we will get down to business. The plan is to establish a dedicated body under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan,” Pashinyan stated, emphasising the importance of engaging with FIFA and Georgia to determine whether the organising committee will be unified or operate separately.
