Anti-Namakhvani HPP protesters awaiting govt's response to their demands

Anti-Namakhvani HPP protesters have been awaiting the government’s response to their demands.

One of the protesters, Varlam Goletiani said he would make a statement today, at 2 pm.

“We are waiting for an answer. We will contact the authorities first and then we will make a statement today. It seems that the government is going to use the Covid factor effectively to suppress this protest, but we will not let them,” Goletiani said.

For the record, opponents of the HPP constructions have been rallying for over 178 days.
