Anri Okhanashvili: Fine to be imposed in case of holding large-scale events such as weddings, anniversaries, wakes

The gathering of more than 10 people that is related to social events (e.g., weddings, anniversaries, wakes, etc.) is restricted, – said Anri Okhanashvili, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs.

According to him, criminal liability is envisaged in case of a recurrence of the violation.

“Based on the government’s regulations, the gathering of more than 10 people that is related to social events (e.g., weddings, anniversaries, wakes, etc.) is restricted. You know that gatherings of up to ten people are already allowed in public places, so large-scale events are prohibited. The violation will be subject to a fine on natural persons in the amount of 2000 GEL, and legal entities  – 10,000 GEL”, – said Anri Okhanashvili.
