Ambassadors' Conference 2020 to be held on December 21-23

The annual meeting of the heads of Georgian diplomatic missions abroad, “Ambassadors’ Conference 2020 – Foreign Policy Priorities of Georgia amid  Global Pandemic – New Challenges and Opportunities” will be held online on December 21-23. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia reports.

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, David Zalkaliani will open the conference. The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia and the Speaker of the Parliament, Archil Talakvadze will address the participants.

“The participants will summarize their foreign policy activities for 2020 and discuss the 2021 Action Plan.

The special attention will be paid to the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic and the turbulent environment created around the world, the measures taken by the Georgian Foreign Ministry in the fight against the virus and main steps made to bring Georgian citizens back to Georgia from abroad.

The event will focus on Georgia’s efforts to restore Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration process, and strengthen cooperation and development in bilateral relations with the United States, the counties of Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania. Talks will focus on regional cooperation issues and Georgia’s neighborhood policy, as well as multilateral diplomacy”, – reads the information released by Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
