Ambassador Herczyński: My duty is to have contacts with authorities, opposition, civil society and academia
“As the EU ambassador in Georgia, it is my duty to have open channels of communication with everyone. This is why I’m here, attending this celebration. I’m trying to talk to the authorities. We also have contacts with the opposition, civil society, and academia,” EU Ambassador to Georgia, Paweł Herczyński, stated.
According to him, when it comes to Georgia’s aspiration to become a member of the European Union, the EC report is devastating.
“The report states very clearly that two years after being granted candidate status, Georgia is further away than when it was granted candidate status in 2023. It is up to the Georgian authorities to reverse the course and go back to the European integration,” the EU Ambassador has stated.
