All projects qualified for second round of “Debut” to be financed

All the 7 projects, which passed onto the second round of “Debut,” a competition for young directors of First Channel and State University of Theater and Cinema, will be financed.

The winner young directors are Ilia Asitashvili, Salome Vepkhvadze, Zviad Tsikolia, Guram Bakradze, Giorgi Samsiani, Grigol Nodia and Tinatin Emiridze. They will shoot short films and will present them to the public through the First Channel for the first time.

The art-creative union “Debut” was established at the base of Georgian Film cinema studio in the 1980s. It was headed by cinema director Rezo Esadze. Young directors produced many successful films in this period.
