Ahali's Gvaramia believes Lelo-Strong Georgia and Gakharia for Georgia should be admitted into Opposition Alliance

Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the Opposition Alliance, believes that the parties Lelo-Strong Georgia and Gakharia for Georgia ought to be accepted into the alliance. He discussed this during a podcast on a social media platform.

As the politician explained, discussions about the past should only take place once Bidzina Ivanishvili is no longer in power.

“I cannot compel, for instance, Lelo and Gakharia’s parties to join the alliance. I think the gravest mistake was in 2025, and even more so, Gakharia’s return to parliament. Nevertheless, I am entirely open about this; I was one of the initiators of the empty square on that logo – that we should accept these people. The time for such divisions will come after Bidzina departs. If there is a real chance for fair play through free elections, then let us set aside all this history,” Gvaramia said.

When asked by the host whether “all together” could mean a unified electoral list, Gvaramia replied in the affirmative, stating: “If that is the case, there will be a common list.”
