Agriculture Minister: Georgia signs multiple memoranda in China to advance agricultural development
Georgia’s Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Davit Songulashvili, announced that during the forthcoming visit to China, Georgia and China will sign several memoranda of cooperation, including agreements in the agricultural sector.
“These memoranda aim to facilitate the exchange of expertise and establish new strategic priorities. Fostering new opportunities between our two countries is vital, particularly in areas such as environmental protection, waste management, biodiversity, eco-tourism, and air quality.
The agreement between the Ministries of Agriculture will enable Georgia to export poultry products, recognising the active cooperation and mutual trust in quality standards. This step will support the further development of our agricultural sector, boost production, and strengthen the overall economy,” he stated.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, accompanied by a Georgian delegation, is currently on a working visit to the People’s Republic of China.
The delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili, Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, President of the National Bank Natia Turnava, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
